The agreement strengthens cooperation between Maharashtra and Baden-Württemberg in the nursing sector.

Maharashtra and the German state of Baden-Württemberg have signed a joint agreement to enhance cooperation in the nursing sector. The joint declaration was signed by Minister of State for Medical Education Madhuri Misal and Baden-Württemberg Minister Manfred Lucha, in the presence of Medical Education Department Secretary Dheerajkumar, Medical Education Commissioner Dr. Anil Bhandari, Director of DMER Dr. Ajay Chandanwale, Deputy Secretary Dr. Suvarna Kharat, and senior officers Archana Badhe (Navare) and Dhirendra Ramteke.

The agreement will provide nursing students from Maharashtra with opportunities in Germany, including language training, skill development, certification recognition, and employment, while promoting student–faculty exchange, joint training, and research initiatives to develop globally skilled nursing professionals.
