This policy defines the standards and responsibilities for creating, approving, publishing, and maintaining content on the Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) website.

Although information and contents provided on this portal have been done with care and diligence, Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) does not take responsibility on how this information is used or the consequences of its use. In case of any inconsistency/ confusion, the user should contact the concerned Branch of DMER for further clarifications.
- Content needs to be contributed by the authorized Content Manager from Branches of Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) in a consistent fashion to maintain uniformity and to bring in standardization along with associated metadata and keywords.
- In order that all contents posted on the website are authentic, up-to-date and latest, officers contributing the contents must check them thoroughly for authenticity and accuracy before sending the content to web information manager.
- The general content links of the website are given below. Before sending new/revised contents to the Web Information Manager (WIM) for posting in the website, all officers/ branches should adopt the procedure as indicated in the table below relating to content contribution, moderation and approval. The content on the portal goes through the entire life‐cycle process of Creation, Modification, Approval, Moderation, Publishing, Expiry, Archival.
- Once the content is contributed it needs to be approved and moderated by WIM prior to being published on the Website.
- The content updation of the web pages shall follow the process explained as under:

- "DMER" has prescribed WNO as Moderator & WIM as Approver for each of the content element.
- Content shared by the Administrative Officers of respective branches on dmerwebsiteupdate@gmail.com is reviewed by the Website Nodal Officer and emailed for publishing on the website of the DMER. We also ensure that the website content is free from offensive and/or discriminatory language
- Content received by the Website Nodal Officer on the designated email ID dmerwebsiteupdate@gmail.com is published on the website through a web-based Content Management System within the same working day.
- Note: Currently, an approved copy of the content is received from the DMER through email and the same is published on the website by the CMS administrator.
- DMER Website is the face of Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), under Medical Education & Drugs Department, Govt. of Maharashtra. It is therefore required to keep the content on the Website current and up‐to-date and hence there is a need for the Content Review Policy. Since the scope of the content is huge, different Review Policies are defined for the diverse content elements. Website Nodal Officer will review and update the content weekly and instruct CMS Administrator for changes.
- The Review Policy is based on different type of content elements, its validity and relevance as well as the archival policy. The entire website content would be reviewed for syntax checks in a regular interval (once in a quarter) by the DMER Team.
- The content components are created with metadata, source, and validity date. The validity of some of the components may not be known at the time of creation. Such content is treated as perpetual and the validity date shall be ten years from the date of creation. The content shall not be displayed on the Website after the validity date.
- Some of the short lived content components like tenders, recruitment, draft for discussion, etc. which will not have any relevance on the website after the event or intended purpose. The content components like documents, reports, what’s new are to be regularly reviewed as per the Content Review Policy.
- The content is to be reviewed at least two weeks prior to the validity date and if required revalidate the content and modify the validity date. If the content is not relevant, then the content is archived and no longer published on the Website.
- The expired contents components such as documents, tender related information, and Office of DMER issued procedures, etc. need to be archived. The content element on the Website has different Entry/Exit Policy and Archival Policy as enlisted below:
